Algunas anotaciones sobre diferencias léxicas entre el lenguaje masculino y femenino en el español de Lima

Abstract

Las diferencias lingüisticas entre hombres y mujeres provienen de la adjudicación de roles sociales diversos para cada sexo, aprendidos durante el proceso de socialización. Así, hombres y mujeres pertenecen a subculturas sociolingüisticas heterogéneas, con intereses, reacciones y comportamientos distintos en relación con el lenguaje. En el habla de Lima, ello se manifiesta, sobre todo, en la elección de variedades léxicas para agredir verbalmente a los demás, para hablar sobre el otro sexo, sobre la pareja y sobre cuestiones sexuales (más eufemísticas en la variedad femenina y más directas en la masculina), asi como en ciertos tabúes lingüísticos que reflejan la organización social, con hombres dominantes y mujeres dominantes.

Differences between women and men language are a result of their contrasting social role, adjudicated and learned during the socialization process. Thus men and women belong to heterogeneous sociolinguistics sub-cultures, with differing interests, reactions and behaviors regarding language. In Lima 's speech this is mainly shown through the election of lexical varieties for verbal agression, for speaking about the other sex, the partner and sexual matters (more euphemistic in the feminine variety and straighter in the male one); and also through certain linguistic taboos reflecting the social organization, with dominant men and dominated women.
