Cadenas de valor, comercio exterior y diversidad biológica

Abstract

In Peru, the evidence shows the link between emerging markets and national value chains, articulated to the sustainable use of biodiversity. In this sense, the mega biodiversity and therefore the services provided by ecosystems have contributed to respond to the opportunities offered by the international market. In this context, this paper aims to analyze the economic importance of biodiversity, particularly in the development of value chains in different Peruvian regions, which are part of a diversified export supply.

En el Perú, gradualmente se aprecia la articulación entre mercados emergentes y cadenas de valor nacionales, vinculadas con el aprovechamiento sostenible de la diversidad biológica. En este sentido, la megadiversidad biológica y, por ende, los servicios que brindan los ecosistemas han contribuido a responder a las oportunidades que brinda el mercado internacional. En dicho contexto, este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el aporte económico de la diversidad biológica, en particular en el desarrollo de cadenas de valor en diferentes regiones del Perú, las cuales son parte de una oferta exportable diversificada.
